Sitges: The city of white-blue house and endless beaches

This post is also available in: Bulgarian

Hello, my lovelies!

The past two weeks were so hectic that I literally had no time to even write a blog post. We had a planned trip to go to Lisbon, Portugal for a few days, but unexpectedly plans changed as our flight reservations were cancelled.

Anyway, I believe everything happens for a reason and this proved to be right. We immediately changed our tickets and flew back home to surprise our families. It was such a cute and lovely moment when I arrived home in the middle of the night.

We spent there two weeks, enjoying the winter wonderland in Bulgaria, spending time with our family and friends, had a thousand meetings and worked a bit for the release of the new collection of our sunglasses brand “My Aloha”. Also it was my mum’s 50th birthday, so I helped with the organization and all the surprises, including a show by her favourite ensemble “Bulgare”. It was more than amazing, but I am planning to write a blog post about the whole two weeks in Bulgaria including the party, once I get all the photos from the photographer.

We are now back to Spain and it is definitely spring here already. People are going to the beach, surfing, chilling in the sun and enjoying the amazing weather. That’s exactly what we did the same day we came back. We decided to go again to Sitges and spend the day there.

It is such a beautiful place reminding me both of Greece and Italy at the same time. Only 30 minutes away from Barcelona by car, it is so differently charming and amazing that I can definitely say it is a ‘must visit’.

The main street was right by the beach and was filled with cute white houses, various restaurants and palm trees. The beach was infinite and the water was so clear and blue; no wonder why locals say Sitges has one of the best beaches in Catalonia. We sat there looking at the sea horizon, tanned a bit, took some photos and then continues our walk.

From the beach you could see their main church “Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla”, which surrounded by palm trees and sand completed the definite “post card” view.

We walked down the beach and reached a sign “Mirador” (viewpoint) leading us to this amazing cliff that was literally in the sea, where you could sit and enjoy the waves under your feet. At first, I thought it would be a difficult and dangerous way to get there, but it was actually super easy and the view was so breath-taking and picturesque that it was definitely worth it.

It was already time for lunch so we decided to sit at one of the restaurants by the beach. To be honest, this was the first time I didn’t check restaurants before we got there, so we decided to just randomly choose. We sat in a place called “Costa Dorada”. We decided to get steamed mussels and grilled octopus and they both turned out to be amazing!

After lunch we went to an area called “Raco de la Calma”, which was the perfect place to walk around and enjoy the beautiful architecture. Looking more like a Greek island, the area was so calm with small streets, white and blue houses, lots of flowers and the smell of amazing food everywhere. In my opinion, this was the best part of Sitges!

We went to take ice-cream from a place called “Dino”, walked around for like an hour, of course took a bunch of photos in this amazing place and then we decided to go home.

    1. Hello, lovely. Thank you so much!
Yes, I created it myself, but I am using the platform WordPress. It is a bit hard at the beginning, but if you are patient, it will eventually work out 🙂
