Tourists for a day

This post is also available in: Bulgarian

Happy Monday, lovelies! It was a great day for me, as I am finally feeling better after a whole week of being sick in bed. Usually, when I am sick I try to go out and not think about the cold, but I guess the big change in temperatures from Bulgaria to Barcelona actually made me feel awful. Nevertheless, I am finally feeling well enough to be tourists for a day in sunny Barcelona!

Many of you may know that there are a few places that are a ‘must visit’ when in Barcelona. One of these places is Park Güell, which we actually ended up exploring, although we wanted to wait until the construction there is over.

Apparently, the park was quite near to our house, so we decided to actually walk there through the cute small streets in our neighbourhood. On the way, we saw this pink house with beautiful pink flowers, which was matching my outfit and thus deserved a few photos. Such a pink world!

Once we got to the park, I was amazed! I have been to Park Güell seven years ago and I didn’t really remember the gorgeous nature there. All the palms, different flowers, street musicians and artists, surrounded by the unique architecture, literally made it look like a fairy tale scene.

My favourite part of the park was one white-green house La Casa Trias. Later we understood that this house was the first private slot in the park, bought by a friend of Güell. It was so beautiful and its garden was fascinating. Not only there were lots of orange trees, but also the unique yellow trees.

We reached the highest point of the park, looked at the amazing view from there and then started walking back. We got to this beautiful palm trees path, which led us to the Greek Theatre.

While exploring the beautiful scenery there, I managed to capture a unique moment of pigeons couple in love. After an approximately 6km walk around the park and a million photos, we decided to walk to Gaudí House Museum and then walk home.
