Brunch date by the sea

This post is also available in: Bulgarian

Hello, my lovelies!

I am so happy, because on Friday I finally finished Spanish A1 and I am now so excited to actually continue further and be able to speak properly. However, after a week of quite intensive courses every day, I was waiting so much for the weekend to finally find time to relax a bit and have a walk around the city.

Luckily, Saturday was so sunny and despite the strong wind, the weather was actually so nice almost the whole day. I have always loved beaches and sea vacations and for me the best thing about Barcelona is the fact that we have both literally 15 minutes away from our house. This is the main reason we try to spend every single sunny day in the beach neighbourhood Barceloneta.

We planned to go and have brunch at this super cute place there, but unfortunately we couldn’t make a reservation and there was a big queue when we arrived. We decided to just walk around and try to find another place to eat. I think we were super lucky to find this amazing place, called “Surf House”. It had this small decorative palms and the tables were under the sun literally on the beach. I love it so much!

We ordered a classic burger, quinoa salad and the best sweet potato fries, I have ever tried. The food was amazing and it was so relaxing there that we spent hours looking at the sea with a glass of sangria and actually tanning a bit. Unfortunately, I didn’t know this place to include it in my Barcelona food guide, but I definitely recommend it.
It was the best brunch date by the sea!

Once we realized we have started to actually burn a bit, we decided to get up and start walking around. We walked on the beach, dipped our feet in the sea and enjoyed the beautiful beach and palm trees scenery.

Suddenly, the wind got stronger and much colder, so we had to leave. On our way home, we stopped at “The Mercat de la Boqueria”. It was like a paradise. We spent there an hour, trying a million different smoothies and choosing the rarest tropical fruits to take home. Honestly, this is my new favourite place!

Saturday was a much needed amazing and relaxing day, but on Sunday the weather was awful. As it was raining outside, we stayed at home and enjoyed the cosy atmosphere, while working a bit and watching movies.
